Section 6: IR Playbooks

Section Overview

Section 6 creates a standardized playbook and set of definitions for cyber incident response across the federal government to ensure all Federal Civilian Executive Branch (FCEB) agencies meet certain thresholds and take uniform steps to identify and mitigate threats. This playbook will help the private sector model its incident response efforts after that of the government’s. Federal cybersecurity leaders will collaborate to develop a playbook that incorporates all appropriate NIST standards.
